Fighters for the UFC 139: Shogun vs. Hendo event hit the scales today at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, the same venue for tomorrow nights Nov. 19 event.
The live event saw three fighters miss weight on their initial attempts.
Former WEC bantamweight champ Miguel Torres initially weighed in at 137 lbs, then 136.5 lbs on his second attempt, and then on the third try finally made weight coming in at 136 lbs.
Failing to make the cut for their respective bouts, were Shamar Bailey (158 lbs) and Nick Pace (141 lbs). Each fighter was fined 20% of their purse with opponents Dannny Castillo and Torres, respectively, agreeing to catchweight matches.
Headliners Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua (205 lbs) and Dan Henderson (203 lbs) were both on the mark.
The live event begins at 5:50pm EST (2:50pm PST) on the web at Facebook.com/UFC, then on television with two prelim matches at 8pm EST, and finally the live pay-per-view at 9pm EST.
