So far, UFC 145 has had two fights, and each of them have gone to split decision.
After a hard fought contest, Chris Clements was able to get out of some early trouble against Keith Wisniewski and throw power shots to end round one. The first round of the bout was slightly marred with a terrible standup from a new referee whose name I do not recall.
Clements was able to fend off a rear-naked choke with a body triangle in the second round. While defending the submission, he got in some damage of his own by throwing some powerful elbows to Wisniewski.
Clements was hungry for a finish, as he threw a spinning back fist, flying knee and several haymakers in hopes of keeping his fate out of the judges hands.
Clements is definitely a powerhouse who has plenty of room to develop. With a fan-friendly style, Joe Silva will likely put Clements against someone who enjoys the standup. Someone along the lines of Matt Riddle, Lance Benoist or Sean Pierson would all make good opponents.
