Fans and media, are invited to Calgary, Alberta, Canada this Wednesday for a UFC press conference and will feature promotion president Dana White and the UFC’s director of Canadian operations, Tom Wright.

The live press conference begins at 2pm EST (noon local) and will be streamed live from the downtown Calgary at Flames Central on 219 Eight Street SW.

At the press conference, the promotion is expected to announce their first visit to the Canadian city this July with UFC 149. The only appropriate venue for such an event would be the 19,000 seat Scotiabank Saddledome, which is home to the National Hockey League’s Calgary Flames.

This would mark the first visit by the UFC to that province but not the first time by Zuffa. In June 2010, the World Extreme Cagefighting promotion visited Edmonton with WEC 49, the city is just a few hours up the road from Calgary.

Calgary would mark the fourth Canadian city to host a UFC event after four cards in Montreal, two in Toronto, and two in Vancouver.

Fans are also invited out to an open workout session with UFC fighters Jason MacDonald, Nick Ring and Mitch Clarke on Thursday. This activity begins at 11am till 1pm local, and will be held at the BDB Martial Arts club at 3300 145th Ave. NE.
