Following the Thursday news that a pair of UFC 149 fighters had tested positive for banned substances, the UFC has issued a statement.

As MMAjunkie.com reported earlier this week, UFC 149 fighters Matt Riddle and Francisco Rivera tested positive following the July event. Riddle tested positive for marijuana, while Rivera was flagged for an over-the-counter stimulant.

Both were suspended for 90 days by the Calgary Combative Sports Commission. Those suspensions expired on Friday, the day the UFC issued its statement.
