The Ultimate Fighting Championship added a couple more bouts to this September’s upcoming UFC 152 event in Toronto.
Featherweights Jimy ‘The Kid’ Hettes (10-0) will meet TUF 14 competitor Marcus ‘The Bama Beast’ Brimage (5-1), while welterweights Seth ‘The Polish Pistola’ Baczynski (16-6) promotion sophomore Simeon ‘The Grin’ Thoresen (17-2-1).
Fans in Toronto will get a treat in the 145-pound division as Jimy Hettes and Marcus Brimage will duke it out. The undefeated Hettes has quickly emerged as a featherweight prospect with his relentless offensive assault, but he will have his hands full dealing with the power of Brimage.
Plus, two exciting welterweights on win streaks will go head-to-head at UFC 152 as verbal agreements are in for Simeon “The Grin” Thoresen vs. Seth “The Polish Pistola” Baczynski.
UFC 152: Benavidez vs. Johnson is expected occur on September 22, 2012 in at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.
Hettes is riding a perfect record with 10 pro-victories, two of which have gone down inside the Octagon. His most recent victory took place in December of last year at UFC 141 with a decision win versus Nam Phan. Hettes had been scheduled to appear at UFC on FX 4 versus Steven Siler but was forced out with an injury.
Brimage is on a three fight win streak, with a split decision victory over Maximo Blanco last April at UFC 145. Brimage debuted at 145-lbs at the TUF 14 Finale, making his way into the Octagon for the first time, winning a decision versus Stephan Bass.
Baczynski is on a five fight win streak, three of which happened under the UFC banner. The former TUF 11 fighter was dismissed by the promotion after a loss to Brad Tavares at the event Finale, spurring ‘The Polish Pistola’ onto his current win streak. His most recent win took place last month at UFC on FX 3 with a split decision versus Lance Benoist.
Thoresen debuted with the UFC in April in Sweden, winning a second round submission victory over Besam Yousef. It was the Norwegian’s third straight victory, putting him 8-1-1 over his last ten matches. With seventeen wins under his belt, Thoresen has earned fifteen of them by submission.
