Opponent Ivan Menjivar worked quickly off his back and torqued a deep armbar to submit the Russian fighter in the first round.
The bantamweight bout was part of Saturday’s UFC 154 preliminary card at Montreal’s Bell Centre. It streamed on Facebook ahead of additional prelims on FX and a pay-per-view main card.
