Most of UFC 162’s major names received only perfunctory medical suspensions following the weekend’s activity at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Even Anderson Silva, who saw his lengthy, storied reign as the UFC middleweight champion end via TKO, will only face 45 about days on the sidelines.

His medical suspension ends on Aug. 21, according to the Nevada state athletic commission, which released the information to the media on Monday.

Even before the suspensions, “The Spider” said that he was looking forward to some time off with his family, so the medical sidelining was never likely going to come into play when it came to his next booking. UFC president Dana White has publicly targeted the possibility of a Weidman-Silva rematch on Feb. 1, 2014, the night before Super Bowl XLVIII in New Jersey. Silva initially declined the possibility of a second fight, but even before the fight, White said he would get a rematch upon losing.

Silva’s 16-fight UFC win streak and 10 title defenses are both promotional records.

Japanese fighter Kazuki Tokudume was given the longest suspension, as he must have what NSAC termed a “right orbital blowout fracture” cleared by an ear, nose and throat doctor or ophthalmologist, or stay on the sidelines until Jan. 3, 2014.

Meanwhile, Dennis Siver, who suffered a technical knockout at the hands of Cub Swanson, can not take his next fight booking for a date prior to Oct. 5.
