There’s a new trailer and adjusted poster for the Conor McGregor vs Rafael dos Anjos super-fight at UFC 196, but despite his earlier protests, there’s still no belt to be seen for the Notorious one.
During the first pre-fight press conference for the title fight between Conor McGregor and Rafael dos Anjos, the featherweight champion expressed his displeasure with how this champion vs champion bout was being promoted.
Unlike with how the UFC promoted the super-fight between Georges St-Pierre and B.J. Penn in the past, it was only Dos Anjos who had a belt on his table and on the posters, which led to McGregor calling it all “absolute garbage“.
With the rash of injuries forcing a cancelled pay-per-view in February, officials have decided to rename this March event from UFC 197 to UFC 196. They have since released revised promotional material with the change, and you can watch a brand new trailer above that also shows the updated poster for the event.
Unfortunately for the Irishman, his belt is still nowhere to be found.
The pair will face off as part of a stacked event on March 5th. Co-headlining the card is a title bout between Holly Holm and Miesha Tate.
