Now that UFC Fight Night 93 is in the books — full results here — Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is all set to stage its next pay-per-view (PPV) event.
And it’s going to be a hard-hitting affair.
UFC 203 is scheduled to go down from the Quicken Loans on Sept. 10, 2016 and will feature a much-anticipated Heavyweight title fight between current division king Stipe Miocic defending his belt against ex-Strikeofrce champion Alistair Overeem.
For Stipe, it will mark his first-ever title defense after taking out Fabricio Werdum earlier this year. And while Overeem strongly feels Miocic is too busy living in his glory, the 265-pound champion counters by saying he’s hard at work to keep the belt around his waist for a long time.
Also, Fabricio Werdum will take on Travis Browne in a Heavyweight rematch, while CM Punk makes his long-awaited Octagon debut against Mickey Gall.
