UFC 207 Video: Watch Ronda Rousey ‘prove you wrong’ in brand new promo

Ronda Rousey stars in a featured promo for the upcoming UFC 207 PPV on Dec. 30.

It’s almost time.

The biggest star in women’s MMA and one of the biggest female sporting athletes in the world will make her return to the Octagon to face current bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207.

The UFC released a spectacular promo for the event on Wednesday, highlighting Rousey’s unerring focus and commitment to prove the critics wrong on December 30.

Rousey, who ruled the bantamweight throne for three years and was often compared to Mike Tyson for her ability to put opponents away in the first round, was unexpectedly knocked out by Holly Holm at UFC 193. ‘Rowdy’ lost her belt and the aura of invincibility that catapulted her to superstardom.

At UFC 207, though, which takes place at T-Mobile Arena, the former Olympian will have a chance to reclaim the 135 lbs title and re-establish herself as the most dominant female champion in the sport.

Her opponent, Nunes, captured promotional gold when she finished WMMA pioneer Miesha Tate in the first round at UFC 200. Similar to Rousey, ‘The Lioness’ has a tendency to finish most of her opponents in the first round and has developed a reputation as one of the most aggressive fighters in the division.

Both women will collide in a championship tilt at UFC 207 on December 30, which also sees bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz defend his title against the surging Cody Garbrandt in the co-main event. The pay-per-view takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
