Check out episode four of Embedded for UFC 211.
UFC 211 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fourth episode for this weekend’s big show in Dallas, and it continues to be a brief introduction to the four title contestants that make up the top of the card. It also includes the man that will fight Frankie Edgar.
In the fighter hotel, Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Andrade run into each other in the hallway. Unlike most opponents, Joanna is cordial and they share a brief hug. After Joanna leaves, Andrade demonstrates the dance she’ll do when she wins, ending with some Michael Jackson.
Jedrzejczyk and heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic sign some posters together, and Joanna again playfully calls him out for not holding the door for her in the last episode. These two really get along well. Junior dos Santos is then shown, laughing about trying to use the word “focused” in an interview but pronouncing it in a slightly more lewd way. Back to Andrade, who does a realistic five-round simulated fight in her room with her trainer.
Now we’re introduced to Yair Rodriguez, the talented Mexican fighter facing by far the biggest challenge of his career in Edgar this weekend. They overlay some training footage where he’s throwing flashy kicks with an interview where he says he’s not looking to make his name off of Edgar’s. Then it’s off to Stipe’s room, where him and his team play a very intense game of euchre, which he even has t-shirts for. As usual, Stipe is super funny.
Then it’s Ultimate Media Day. Joanna arm wrestles with a very young interviewer. Andrade, Dos Santos, and Miocic talk about their respective fights. They all face off, and that’s it.
UFC 211 goes down May 13th at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX.
