UFC 217: Jorge Masvidal training to beat ‘daddy’s little princess’ Stephen Thompson by watching Bruce Lee and Karate Kid films

In preparation for his upcoming Welterweight showdown against Stephen Thompson, Jorge Masvidal is taking film study to a whole different level.

According to “Gamebred,” he’s preparing for the karate expert by catching up on some classic movies, including the “Karate Kid” series and Bruce Lee films.

No, seriously.

Every body asking me how I’m gonna put daddy’s little princess to #sleep there it is #fightprep

Sounds like a good time if you ask me.

Of course, before crossing over to mixed martial arts (MMA) full time, Thompson made a name for himself on the kickboxing scene and has a black belt in the art of Kempo. Plus, he’s made no bones about what he prefers to do what the cage door slams shut.

Thompson previously stated he’s eying an interim welterweight title fight against Robbie Lawler should he get through Masvidal, but those potential plans have been nixed by UFC president Dana White after proclaiming the winner of the upcoming bout between Robbie Lawler and Rafael dos Anjos would get Woodley in 2018.

Bring it!
