Check out the third episode of Embedded for UFC 221.

UFC 221 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the second episode for this weekend’s big show in Perth, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

UFC welterweight Kamaru Usman starts us out, talking about Luke Rockhold’s practice with his new “performance” coach. He then did some sparring and time on the airdyne to max out his cardio.

Yoel Romero is working out, and talking over it about how the hard work is done during the preparation for the fight. The 25 minutes in the Octagon isn’t the hardest part – it’s before that. And some people just don’t put in the necessary work.

Mark Hunt and his team go to an Aboriginal Cultural Center. They meet some kids and share their stories and try to be role models. He is given a gift as well, which he seems to truly appreciate.

Rockhold walks on the beach, and then it’s the ultimate competition – mini golf! It’s immediately noticeable that while his coach is wearing a shirt and shoes…Rockhold isn’t. And he eventually gets called out at the end for it, which is amusing.

Now it’s media time for Hunto. After explaining how he overcomes height differences, his wife FaceTimes him and joins the interview. She’s asked if he’s a good husband, and…

“That’s questionable,” she says. Cold as ice. I like it.

And that’s it! UFC 221 goes down tomorrow in Perth, Australia.
