Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently released its schedule of events for UFC 229 fight week, including weigh ins, open workouts, and pre-fight press conference for the “Khabib vs. McGregor” pay-per-view (PPV) event.
I guess with the kind of trouble Conor McGregor made in “The Empire State” earlier this year (relive the madness here), Dana White and Co. had no choice but to keep mixed martial arts (MMA) fans out of its New York City presser earlier this month, but that doesn’t appear to be the case with the promotion’s home base of Las Vegas, Nevada.
So, if you’re in town and want a replay of this highly-entertaining showcase for both McGregor and opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov, who collide on Oct. 6 for “The Eagle’s” lightweight strap, head over to Park Theater inside MGM Grand on Thurs., Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. local time.
The official press conference kicks off at 3 p.m. local time, though you can expect McGregor to be late. On the plus side, you won’t need a bottle of Proper No. 12 to get access. No doubt the place will be rocking for both headliners … and hopefully things don’t get too out of control.
