Tony Ferguson is coming into UFC 229 seemingly pissed off because he entered 2018 as the interim lightweight champion, and one freak injury led to him missing out on fighting Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223, and he lost his belt as a result.

“It’s been five months since my injury,” Ferguson said. “It took a long f-cking time for me to be here. They took my belt, they took a bunch of zeroes from my pay check. How do you think I f-cking feel? It’s all fun and games, right?”

What does “El Cucuy” do at Thursday’s staredown with Anthony Pettis? Well he just brought a UFC strap with him. Seriously. Watch the video (courtesy of MMA Fighting) at the top of the page.

The full staredowns for the entire Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor undercard — all eleven fights worth — can be seen in the clip below.

UFC 229 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, October 6th.
