Check out the midweek betting odds for Saturday’s UFC 230 event, where heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier is massively favored over Derrick Lewis in the main event.

It’s fight week for UFC 230 so that means Bloody Elbow is here to provide you with the midweek betting odds. The marquee matchup has defending heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier (-750) widely favored over the challenging underdog Derrick Lewis (+525). This is the most that Cormier has been favored since he opened up at -1125 against Pat Cummins at UFC 170 back in 2014. Lewis has never been this large of a betting underdog in his professional MMA career.

Cormier is also widely favored to win inside the distance, with that prop bet being found with a moneyline of -435. On the other hand, Lewis wins inside the distance can be found at +601. You would be hard pressed to find many people who are actually expecting Lewis to pick up a five-round decision over D.C. The unlikelihood of that happening might make Lewis inside the distance at +601 a better value than Lewis straight up at +525, but let’s be honest, we are still pretty much talking about a puncher’s chance here.

Both competitors in Saturday’s co-main event are accustomed to opening up as the betting favorite, with Chris Weidman only opening up as an underdog to Anderson Silva, both times, and Jacare Souza never having sported a plus sign to start out. So, in this situation, both men opened up with favored lines, Weidman at -125 and Jacare at -105. Since opening, former UFC middleweight champion Weidman (-170) has pulled away as the standalone favorite while the always dangerous Jacare (+150) now resides in underdog territory.

Although the prop bet ‘fight doesn’t go to a decision’ rocks a favored line of -150, all of the fighter specific inside the distance props are found at underdog odds. If it’s finish or bust for you, then you can snag up Weidman (scorecards = no action) for -125 or Souza (scorecards = no action) for -105, the same marks as their respective straight up moneylines.
