The action was certainly memorable last night (Sat., May 11, 2019) at UFC 237 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as Jessica Andrade landed an all-time great slam to knock out women’s strawweight champion Rose Namajunas in the second round of their main event.
In addition to the stunning finish by Andrade, Jared Cannonier angered the Brazilian crowd when he put MMA legend Anderson Silva down in the first round of their co-main event with a brutal leg kick, Irene Aldana scored a third-round submission finish over challenger Bethe Correia, Alexander Volkanovski bullied his way past former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo in an impressive decision, and welterweight contender Warlley Alves walked away with a brutal knockout stoppage over fellow Brazilian Sergio Moraes.
