Ottman Azaitar made good on his Octagon debut earlier today (Sat., Sept. 7, 2019) at UFC 242 from inside The Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, when he put a brutal stop to submission specialist Teemu Packalen via first-round knockout (punch).
Azaitar launched heavy hands from the opening bell as he tried to make Packalen pay for locking up the clinch. Most of the power shots landed but Packalen showed a good chin in close. That didn’t last long, though, as Azaitar let a monstrous right hand loose that caught Packalen on the side of the head. The Finnish fighter instantly fell face first into the canvas and started to twitch as the referee stepped in.

With this performance, Azaitar secures his first official UFC win and finish while pushing his undefeated MMA record to 12-0, which now includes nine knockouts. The 29-year-old prospect was as good as advertised and should certainly be a name to watch at 155 pounds entering 2020, especially if this knockout is a sign of things to come.
