The main event of UFC 250 features a women’s featherweight title fight between current two-weight champion Amanda Nunes (19-4 MMA, 12-1 UFC) and Canadian Felicia Spencer (8-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC). UFC 250 takes place at the UFC’s Apex Institute in Las Vegas this Saturday, June 6th. Spencer: 29 years old | 5’6” | 68” reach

How did these two get here?

Nunes: W – Germaine De Randamie (DEC) W – Holly Holm (TKO) W – Cris Cyborg (KO)

Spencer: W – Zarah Fairn Dos Santos (TKO) L – Cris Cyborg (DEC) W – Megan Anderson (SUB)

What have these two done recently?

Amanda Nunes has quickly become not just the greatest female fighter of all time, but one of the greatest fighters of all time. The Brazilian is on a ten-fight winning streak and is undefeated in six years. During her fantastic run, Nunes has defeated names like Cris Cyborg, Ronda Rousey, and Valentina Shevchenko. “The Lioness” has dominated her weight divisions for years and that’s why she is a hefty favourite against Spencer this weekend.

Felicia Spencer enters her fight against Nunes after making just three UFC appearances. The Canadian raised eyebrows in her debut by submitting Megan Anderson but went on to lose in her next fight to the former featherweight champion Cyborg. Spencer got back in the win column in February of this year by stopping Zarah Fairn Dos Santos at UFC Norfolk.

Why should you care?

Even though Spencer is lacking in experience, stranger things have happened this year than an upset in a UFC title fight.
