Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic makes his mixed martial arts (MMA) return to settle his longstanding score against ex-titleholder Daniel Cormier in the promotion’s UFC 252 pay-per-view (PPV) main event, set for Sat., Aug 15, 2020 inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Cormier (22-2, 1 NC) captured the 265-pound title by stopping Miocic (19-3) at UFC 226 back in early 2018. “DC” would later cough up his crown in their UFC 241 rematch, and now looks to retire from combat sports with the belt around his waist.
Also getting their hands dirty at UFC 252 are heavyweight bruisers Junior Dos Santos and Jairzinho Rozenstruik, while Frankie Edgar hopes to (finally) make his 135-pound debut against veteran bantamweight Pedro Munhoz. In addition, savvy striker Sean O’Malley makes his Octagon return against the rough-and-tumble Marlon Vera.
