We are just one week away from Conor McGregor’s awaited return to action against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 and the promotion is pulling out all the stops. This includes a pre-fight press conference scheduled for this coming Thursday.
McGregor, who hasn’t competed since a quick TKO win over Donald Cerrone one year ago, is hoping to lock down a lightweight title shot with a win over “Diamond” in a rematch six years in the making. Adding to the UFC 257 madness will be a co-main event clash between lightweight contender Dan Hooker and former Bellator MMA champion Michael Chandler.
In advance to the massive PPV event, UFC has put together a pre-fight press conference for Thursday, January 21. The event will take place at 8 a.m. ET/5 a.m. PT, and feature McGregor, Poirier, Hooker, Chandler, and UFC president Dana White. Mania will be covering the news conference so make sure to tune in for the early morning fun.
UFC 257 will take place on Jan. 23 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The PPV card will mark the third UFC event on “Fight Island” in the next seven days.
