Valentina Shevchenko just rag-dolled Jessica Andrade before stopping her with viscous elbows on the ground to retain her flyweight title on the UFC 261 PPV main card.

The first title up for grabs on the UFC 261 PPV main card was in the women’s flyweight division. The defending champion, Valentina Shevchenko, absolutely rag-dolled Jessica Andrade on the ground before finishing her off with elbows on the ground in the second round. A lot of people were expecting Andrade to be a serious problem for Valentina, however, this fight proves just how far ahead of everyone else Shevchenko truly is. Who in the world could be next for the reigning champ?

The champion hit an early takedown on Andrade, and sent the challenger through the wash cycle. Up and down Andrade went, followed by a head kick on the break. IN open space, Shevchenko was piecing up Andrade with the hands. When Andrade did close the distance, Shevchenko just took her right back down. Valentina briefly threatened with an RNC before going back to grinding away.

The second round saw a quick bodylock takedown for Shevchenko. Andrade was getting rag-dolled and out-classed everywhere. Andrade tried her best to lift up the champion to get a slam, but Valentina denied all of her advances and then put Jessica on her back. Shevchenko locked up a mounted crucifix and started to punch and elbow away at the face of the challenger until the referee said to stop.
