On the UFC 266 PPV main card, Curtis Blaydes won every round against Jairzinho Rozenstruik, and Jessica Andrade stopped Cynthia Calvillo with an overwhelming flurry of punches.

The UFC 266 PPV main card has started, and the first-two bouts included a standing TKO in the women’s flyweight division, and then a grinding decision in the heavyweight division. The UFC’s #4 ranked big man, Curtis Blaydes, just relied on his wrestling to take all-three scorecards against the #6 ranked, Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Curtis has now won five of his last six outings, and his quest for UFC gold continues.

Opening up the UFC 266 PPV main card, the company’s #1 rated women’s flyweight, Jessica Andrade, overwhelmed the #5 rated, Cynthia Calvillo, with punches in bunches to achieve a standing first-round TKO with just six-seconds left in the round. Jessica has looked absolutely phenomenal at flyweight, against anyone not named Valentina Shevchenko, but asked for rematches with either the current strawweight champ Rose namajunas, or the former 115-pound queen Weili Zhang — whoever wins their respective UFC 268 title fight.

Main card:

Curtis Blaydes def. Jairzinho Rozenstruik by unanimous decision (30-27 x3): Heavyweight

It took a minute for Blaydes to shoot in take Rozenstruik to the ground. From there, he made Rozenstruik carry his weight for a bit, dropping punches when he had his moments. Rozenstruik did make it back to his feet, and landed a hook or two before the bell, while only eating about a jab or two in return.

Rozenstruik took the center of the cage to open the second round. He was throwing fierce punching combos whenever Blaydes would get close to him. If Curtis didn’t engage, then Jairzinho was content to just wait. The crowd didn’t like that too much. Blaydes started pumping his jab, but they seemed to be more probing strikes than anything else. Rozenstruik exploded with a flying knee, but Curtis ate it and quickly landed a takedown soon after. Blaydes went to the corner after the second round with a swollen right eye.

Blaydes opened up the third round switching his stance back and forth and pumping his jab. Before Rozenstruik could unleash much meaningful offense, Blaydes bull-rushed a takedown to get on top. Rozenstruik did not get back up until the round ended.

Jessica Andrade def. Cynthia Calvillo by TKO at 4:54 of round 1 : (W) Flyweight

Andrade pressed forward right away to get things going, backing up Calvillo to the warning track. Both fighters were throwing and landing, but this of Andrade seemed to be the more meaningful blows. Andrade was also effectively kicking at the leg of Calvillo. Some straight punches were getting through for Calvillo, but Andrade was walking right through them. Jessica started to turn it up as the round was coming to a close. Cynthia started to shell up, and Andrade overwhelmed her with punches to get a buzzer-beating standing TKO.
