The new light heavyweight champion needs clearance on his right shoulder to avoid the lengthy suspension. 

Glover Teixeira left the Octagon with more than just the UFC light heavyweight championship following his fight against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 267 on Fight Island. The newly crowned champion has received a potential six-month suspension for a right shoulder injury he suffered and must receive clearance from an orthopedic doctor to avoid being on the sidelines until next year.

Other fighters facing a 180-day suspension are Albert Duraev, Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos, Benoit Saint-Denis, Michal Oleksiejczuk and Tagir Ulanbekov. These terms were determined by the UFC, which self-regulated the event in Abu Dhabi this past October.

Glover Teixeira (right shoulder): Must be cleared by orthopedic doctor for right shoulder or suspended for 180 days. Minimum suspension for 30 days and no contact for 21 days

Jan Blachowicz: Mandatory seven-day suspension for rest

Petr Yan: 30-day suspension for hard bout

Cory Sandhagen: 30-day suspension for hard bout

Islam Makhachev: Mandatory seven-day suspension for rest

Dan Hooker: Mandatory seven-day suspension for rest

Alexander Volkov: Mandatory seven-day suspension for rest

Marcin Tybura: Mandatory seven-day suspension for rest

Khamzat Chimaev: Mandatory seven-day suspension for rest

Li Jingliang: Mandatory seven-day suspension for rest

Magomed Ankalaev: Mandatory seven-day suspension for rest

Volkan Oezdemir (left brow laceration): Suspended for 45 days and no contact for 30 days

Amanda Ribas: Mandatory seven-day suspension for rest

Virna Jandiroba: 30-day suspension for hard bout and no contact for 21 days

Zubaira Tukhugov (right brow laceration): Suspended for 30 days and no contact for 21 days

Ricardo Ramos (left eyelid laceration): Suspended for 30 days and no contact for 21 days

Albert Duraev (facial laceration): Must be cleared by oral and maxillofacial doctor for facial laceration or suspended for 180 days. Minimum suspension for 30 days and no contact for 21 days

Roman Kopylov (nasal laceration): Suspended for 60 days and no contact for 45 days

Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos (right foot, right hand): Must be cleared by negative X-rays for right foot and right hand or suspended 180 days. Minimum suspension for 30 days and no contact for 21 days

Benoit Saint-Denis: Must be cleared by Ear, Nose and Throat doctor or suspended for 180 days. Minimum suspension for 60 days and no contact for 45 days

Michal Oleksiejczuk (left hand): Must be cleared by negative X-ray for left hand or suspended 180 days. Minimum suspension for 30 days and no contact for 21 days

Shamil Gamzatov: Suspended for 45 days and no contact for 30 days

Lerone Murphy: Mandatory seven-day suspension for rest

Makwan Amirkhani: Suspended for 60 days and no contact for 45 days

Andre Petroski: 30-day suspension for hard bout and no contact for 21 days

Hu Yaozong: 45-day suspension for hard bout and no contact for 30 days

Tagir Ulanbekov (left tibia and fibula): Must be cleared by negative X-ray for left tibia and fibula or suspended for 180 days. Minimum suspension for 30 days and no contact for 21 days

Allan Nascimento: Mandatory seven-day suspension for rest
