One-man show?
Santiago Ponzinibbio held his own post-fight press conference in the wake of the UFC Fight Night 140 mixed martial arts (MMA) event on FOX Sports 1, which took place last Sat. night (Nov. 17, 2018) inside Parque Roca Arena in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Since this was the promotion’s debut in Argentina, plenty of local reporters were on hand and probably only cared about “Gente Boa,” who captured his seventh-straight victory — with four finishes — by planishing Neil Magny in the welterweight main event (video).
“I think I deserve a top-five fight and I think after tonight’s victory I might climb to that position,” Ponzinibbio told the combat sports media. “As for a title shot, I’m looking for that all the way, maybe it will be one more fight before that, but that’s my objective going forward.”
Reigning champion, Tyron Woodley, is not convinced.
