Online gambling site SportsBetting.ag has betting odds for a highly likely matchup between 9-0 undefeated prospect, Khamzat Chimaev, and longtime UFC submission threat, Demian Maia.
Chimaev has been making waves in the UFC in just a short amount of time. The 26-year old made his promotional debut back in July, and has already posted up three spectacular finishes in two different divisions. He was a lofty -600 betting favorite against his most recent victim, Gerald Meerschaert, and managed to violently dispatch him with one punch in just 17-seconds.
Even before he even weighed-in for the Meerschaert match-up, though, Chimaev already had another fight lined up with Maia. That kind of pre-planning from the UFC may have rubbed a few folks the wrong way, but it’s hard to argue with a 17-second win, so here we are.
And off of another electrifying victory, the up and comer is heavily favored once again over his veteran opponent. Khamzat is currently available with a sizable -575 moneyline, and you can expect that number to only grow from there. As for Maia, the 42-year-old Jiu-Jitsu master can be scooped up with an underdog tag of +445. The SportsBetting.ag website states that this fight must happen in 2020 for action. No props have dropped as of yet.
