This Saturday’s, Mar, 14th., UFC on ESPN+ Fight Night event takes place at the Ginásio Nilson Nelson in Brasilia, Brazil, in an empty arena — due to global concerns regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic, which resulted in the local Government banning attendance to the event, due to lack of action on the part of Dana White’s UFC Policies, or lack there of.
This event showcased a main event Lightweight bout that was sure to be a thriller, between Kevin ‘Motown Phenom’ Lee & Charles ‘Do Bronx’ Oliveira, but Lee didn’t make weight, so they had to compete at a catchweight with Lee giving up 20% of his purse; we also had what was sure to be a grappling clinic for us featuring a welterweight bout of Demian Maia vs. Gilbert ‘During’ Burns in the co-main event of the night.
Leading up to the main and co-main we had a mixture of two decisions and a finish when Renato Moicano Subbed Damir Hadzovic in 44 seconds flat via Rear Naked Choke on the Preliminary Card. Throw in Johnny Walker vs. Nikita Krylov and Francisco Trinaldo vs Sean Makdessi, not to mention the fantastic matchup between Jussier Formiga and Brandon Moreno on the undercard… and what a night of fights we have to discuss with you!
