Rising Canadian prospect Charles Jourdain made a big statement earlier this morning (Sat., Dec. 21, 2019) at UFC Fight Night 165 live on ESPN+ from inside Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea, when he scored a vicious second-round TKO (punches) over hometown favorite “Korean Superboy” Doo Ho Choi.
The finish occurred in the late moments of Round 2 as “Korean Superboy” stepped in for an offensive exchange. The second Choi moved forward Jourdain was there to land a devastating straight left followed by a right hook that sent the Korean fighter to the canvas. A couple of punches followed before the referee stepped in for stoppage.

With this performance, Jourdain gets his first UFC victory after coming up short in his debut against Desmond Green back in May. The 24-year-old featherweight has a ton of potential even in the deepest division around and he showed it tonight against a desperate, and very dangerous, “Korean Superboy.”
Look for Jourdain to ride this momentum into 2020 and try to lock down a future shot at the top 15.
