A total of three fighters received “Fight Night” bonuses for their efforts Saturday night at UFC: Fight for the Troops 2 in Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas.
UFC president Dana White announced the winners, noting that each fighter would earn a $30,000 payout for each bonus. Announced were lightweight fighters Melvin Guillard, as well as opponents Yves Edwards and Cody McKenzie.
Guillard earned the “Knockout of the Night” after he made short work of opponent Evan Dunham, getting the KO in the first round of their main event bout.
While Edwards and McKenzie would earn the “Fight of the Night” bonus for their prelim fight. Edwards would also earn the “Submission of the Night” bonus by choking McKenzie unconscious in the second round.
UFC: Fight for the Troops 2 was part of the promotions efforts to raise money for the Intrepid Heroes Fund.
