Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to the hurt business this Saturday night (Feb. 4, 2017) for UFC Fight Night 104: “Bermudez vs. Korean Zombie,” which takes place inside Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, live on FOX Sports 1.

The promotion’s latest mixed martial arts (MMA) card will feature a featherweight showdown pitting division stalwart Dennis Bermudez against the returning Chan Sung Jung. Elsewhere on the card, Invicta FC strawweight champ Angela Hill returns to the Octagon in 115-pound action against Jessica Andrade.

Vick trying to set up a guillotine. He has it under Trujillo’s chin, just doesn’t have the ability to crank due to the fence. Two minutes to go.

Trujillo slips out and continues to press Vick into the cage. Vick makes it to his feet and reverses position. They separate. One minute to go. Vick lands a body kick, eats a low kick. 2-1 dings Trujilo and he shoots. Vick looks for a guillotine before the bell. 10-9 Vick.

Round 2: Trujillo connects with a left hook early. Again. Low kick by Vick, then to the body. Big right hand from Trujillo. One minute in. Vick tries a flying knee, takes a glancing left. Blast double from Trujillo and he puts Vick on the fence before separating. Left hook lands for Trujillo. Uppercut from Vick and a body kick. Another knee to the body and he takes Trujillo down when the latter shoots. Vick locks up a d’arce and this looks deep. Ninety seconds to go.

Vick flips Trujillo over and bears down on the squeeze. Trujillo survives, Vick maintaining side control. Vick setting up the choke again, can’t get it and Trujillo stands. Vick lands a knee before the bell. 10-9 Vick.

Round 3: Vick opens with a flying knee that rattles Trujilo and sends him stumbling back. Trujillo launches some fierce counters and shoos in. Vick stuffs it and locks up the d’arce again. There’s no escape this time and Trujillo taps.

205 lbs.: Volkan Oezdemir vs. Ovince Saint Preux

Round 1: Oezdemir opens with kicks, low and high. Hooks from the Swiss as he ties up. OSP goes for a throw, can’t get it and they separate. One minute in. OSP showing his left, landing body kicks as Oezdemir throws a steady diet of head kicks. Good exchange. Another inside low kick. Two minutes in. Overhand right lands for Oezdemir. Good front kick to the body by OSP and Oezdemir takes him to the fence and attempts a takedown. Two minutes to go.

More front kicks and straight left from OSP. Oezdemir lands a good body kick but gets cracked by counters. OSP switches stance. Good body shot, one minute to go. Oezdemir with another body kick. Oezdemir with a nice combination on the fence, chasing OSP. Saint Preux ties up before the bell. 10-9 Oezdemir.

Round 2: Both try head kicks early. Oezdemir with a solid series of punches. OSP changes levels and scores a trip. Oezdemir pops right back up. One minute in. Nice elbow from Oezdemir on the break. Round 3: Oezdemir tries to tie up and OSP reverses, exiting with a knee. OSP tries a head kick. One minute in. OSP shoots, stuffed. Both look knackered. Oezdemir wading in, OSP looking to counter. Both land solid punches inside. Uppercut and straight right by OSP, then a sharp left hook and 1-2. Two minutes in. Another right hand by OSP. Oezdemir steps in with a straight left. Hook, then another straight. Two minutes to go.

Oezdemir is just too tired to compete with him. Both winging exhausted punches. Good left hook from Oezdemir. OSP with a counter left. His shots definitely have more left in them. Nice body shot, one minute to go. OSP continues to dig to the body, eats a counter. Oezdemir comes back from another body shot with a knee. OSP pursuing with punches and Oezdemir is hurt. Round 1: Early clinch. Hamilton looking aggressive early, trading punches. Fortune sporting a big cut above his right eye. They trade in the clinch as Hamilton takes him to the fence. One minute in. They separate. Right hand from Hamilton. Ref pauses the action to look at the cut, which replays confirm was from a headbutt. Doc says to go ahead. Two minutes in. Hamilton throwing quite a bit in the early going. 1-2 from Fortuna. Nice counter right rattles Hamilton. HUGE counter right obliterates Hamilton, who disintegrates into a puddle of uncoordinated limbs. Damn.

115 lbs.: Jessica Andrade vs. Angela Hill

Round 1: Hill sending out kicks early on. Andrade counters a straight right with a flurry. One minute in. Lefts from hill. Andrade stings her with a right hand. Andrade blitzing and both women land big punches Nice knee by Hill, Andrade digs a right to the body in return. Hill lands a counter right as Andrade chases. Two minutes in. Big hook from Andrade and they continue to trade. Hill briefly tries the Thai plum. 1-2 by Hill. Andrade pouring it on on the fence as Hill snipes back with counters. Looping right lands but she can’t get the takedown. Two minutes to go.

Hard right hands to the head by Andrade. Hill comes back with knees point-blank. One minute to go. Andrade to the body, shrugs off a knee to the head. Andrade lands John Lineker’s favorite low-high combo and goes to work inside. Hill with another knee before the bell. 10-9 Andrade.

Round 2: Andrade with some inside low kicks. Hill to the outside. Another blitz from Andrade. Both doing solid damage inside, although a knee opens a cut under Andrade’s right eye. One minute in. Left hook from Andrade. Andrade to the body. Both land big right hands on the fence. Hill returns to the center. Body kicks from Hill. Heavy punches inside by Andrade. Hill slips a blitz. Andrade bangs to the body. Two minutes to go.

Sharp right by Hill. Teep by Andrade, who flurries in response to a knee. Andrade looks for a single-leg and runs the pipe. Andrade looking for a no-hook rear naked choke with a minute to work. BIG high crotch takedown from the Brazilian after Hill slips out. Round ends with Andrade standing over her. 10-9 Andrade.

Round 3: Left hook from Andrade and they slug it out. Andrade seems to get the better of it. Andrade goes low-high, shrugging off counters. BIG left hook jacks Hill’s jaw. Hill comes back with a head kick attempt. Another left hook by Andrade. Hill’s landing off her back foot, she just can’t back Andrade off. Right hand dings Hill and Andrade tees off. A stiff jab knocks Andrade down, though Hill doesn’t pursue. More huge shots from Andrade, including a sneaky elbow. Two minutes to go.

Right hands piling up for the Brazilian. Knees, punches from Andrade. Nice little elbow by Hill. Andrade continues to fire with a minute to go. Hard knee to the head. They throw until the bell. 10-9 Andrade.

265 lbs.: Curtis Blaydes vs. Adam Milstead

Round 1: Blaydes hits a takedown within seconds, then takes Milstead on the Suplex Express with two big slams. Blaydes landing punches from the back as MIlstead tries to advance from turtle. One minute in. Another takedown from Blaydes, more solid shots from under the armpits. Two minutes in. Knees to the butt. Milstead makes it up and appears to hurt his leg on the next takedown from Blaydes, who lands a few uncalled shots to the back of the head. Two minutes to go.

Another takedown from Blaydes. Milstead surrenders guard. Milstead tries to make space and Blaydes lets him stand. Milstead’s right leg is hurt in some fashion. Stiff jab from Blaydes. Blaydes ducks a 1-2 and hits another takedown. 10-8 Blaydes for shear one-sidedness.

Round 2: Blaydes shoots once again and muscles Milstead to a knee. More knees to the butt. He puts all his weight on Milstead’s injured leg and he goes down screaming as it buckles. Disgraceful cornering.

Final result: Blaydes def. Milstead by TKO (knee injury)


145 lbs.: Chris Gruetzemacher vs. Chas Skelly

Round 1: Gruetzemacher advancing early. Two right hands land for Skelly, then a hard knee in the clinch. Skelly shoots and hauls Gruetzemacher to the fence. One minute in. Short elbow from Skelly. Short shots from Gruetzemacher as well before they separate. Low kick from Gruetzemacher, right hand from Skelly and a 2-1 from “Gritz.” Blast double by Skelly. Two minutes in. Gruetzemacher with some elbows off his back against the fence. Skelly looking for the back. Two minutes to go.

Good control from Skelly. He threatens the choke, keeps surfing. One minute to go. Half guard now for Skelly, landing some hammerfists. Gruetzemacher regains guard. Skelly stands over him, then sprawls on a takedown attempt and lands a knee before the bell. 10-9 Skelly.

Round 2: Gruetzemacher once more on the advance. Staying busy with strikes. Sharp uppercut snaps Gruetzemacher’s head back. Straight right lands, then to the body. Good body kick from Gruetzemacher. Skelly with another blast and he immediately takes the back. Gruetzemacher with some elbows. Skelly weathers them and locks up the choke with one hook in. The squeeze is too much and Gruetzemacher is forced to tap.

Round 1: Both men light on their feet early on. Front kick from Ramos just misses. Low kick from Tanaka. Ramos wheel kick falls short. One minute in. Low kick lands for him. Ramos ties up and Tanaka hits a throw. Ramos pops right back up and they jockey for position. Tanaka changes levels, nothing there. Knees from Ramos. Two minutes in. Solid knees to the body by Ramos. Tanaka eats a knee, separates with a right hand. Ramos low kick. Tanaka slips and nearly gets his head punted off. Two minutes to go.

BIG counter right flattens Tanaka. Ramos pounding away. Tanaka powers his way to his feet, eats more strikes and falls once again. One minute to go. Tanaka scrambles up. 10-8 Ramos.

Round 2: Ramos still marching forward. One minute in. They tie up and Tanaka looks for trips. He’s still driving, eats an elbow and changes levels. Ramos counters an inside trip and takes guard, passing to side control and then mount. Two minutes in. Tanaka rolls through and Ramos switches to an armbar. Tanaka waits it out and sets up in guard. Ramos trying to use the cage to stand. Tanaka takes half guard and nearly takes mount. Two minutes to go.

Good control for Tanaka as Ramos tries to stand. He makes it up and Tanaka looks for the back. Nice scramble, one minute to go. Right hand from Ramos, low kick from Tanaka. 10-9 Tanaka.

Round 3: Tanaka a little more sprightly in the early going. Low kick lands. He changes levels, Ramos denies it. One minute in. Right hand from Tanaka, knee from Ramos. Left hook from the Brazilian. Tanaka to the body. Two minutes in. Quick flurry from Tanaka. Jab exchange. Herb Dean warns Tanaka to engage. Tanaka, to the best of my knowledge, doesn’t speak English. Two minutes to go.

Round 1: Torres flicks out some kicks early. Both connect on the inside. Good combination lands for Torres. One minute in. Head kick blocked. Left hook connects. Left hand, low kick, combination. Torres in full control with her usual rapid combinations. Good leg kicks. Rawlings comes back with a right hand. She ducks a head kick. Lead left hook from Torres. 1-2, head kick behind it. Round 2: Rawlings comes out more aggressively. Torres lands some kicks and scores a brief takedown, only for Rawlings to scramble up and take her down. One minute in. Round 3: Teep from Rawlings, punches from Torres. Good combinations from Torres. Rawlings with a counter hook, chases her with a right hand. One minute in. Camera cuts away as Rawlings flips off the crowd. Torres still winning these exchanges. God low kick stumbles Rawlings. Lead right by Torres. Two minutes in. More low kicks, then both land inside. Torres still chewing up that leg. Combinations, Rawlings whiffs on a Superman punch. Two minutes to go.

Rawlings to the body. She ties up on the fence with over-unders. Torres reverses position. Rawlings slips while throwing a knee and Torres looks for the back. She spins Rawlings to the ground and inserts her hooks. Rawlings works her way into guard and avoids an armbar. They stand and end the fight throwing. 10-9 Torres.

170 lbs.: Alex Morono vs. Niko Price

Round 1: Low kick from Price, Morono wings a pair of counters that fall short. Inside this time. Lead right lands for Morono. One minute in. Counter right draws a smile from Price, who fires a low kick and a high one behind it. Two minutes in. Morono lands a counter hook. 1-2 through the guard. Price head kick blocked and Morono drops him with a counter left. Morono in pursuit. Price regains his composure. Two minutes to go.

Body kick from Price. 1-2-3 lands for Morono. One minute to go. Price struggling to land clean. Spinning back fist and right hand drop Price again. 10-8 Morono.

OSP showing his left, landing body kicks as Oezdemir throws a steady diet of head kicks. Good exchange. Another inside low kick. Two minutes in. Overhand right lands for Oezdemir. Good front kick to the body by OSP and Oezdemir takes him to the fence and attempts a takedown. Two minutes to go.

More front kicks and straight left from OSP. Oezdemir lands a good body kick but gets cracked by counters. OSP switches stance. Good body shot, one minute to go. Oezdemir with another body kick. Oezdemir with a nice combination on the fence, chasing OSP. Saint Preux ties up before the bell. 10-9 Oezdemir.

Round 2: Both try head kicks early. Oezdemir with a solid series of punches. OSP changes levels and scores a trip. Oezdemir pops right back up. One minute in. Nice elbow from Oezdemir on the break. Low kicks landing for him. OSP with a left around the guard. Through the guard this time. Uppercut and straight left force Oezdemir back. Body shots and a low kick by Oezdemir. Two minutes to go.

Round 3: Oezdemir tries to tie up and OSP reverses, exiting with a knee. OSP tries a head kick. One minute in. OSP shoots, stuffed. Both look knackered. Oezdemir wading in, OSP looking to counter. Both land solid punches inside. Uppercut and straight right by OSP, then a sharp left hook and 1-2. Two minutes in. Another right hand by OSP. Oezdemir steps in with a straight left. Hook, then another straight. Two minutes to go.

Oezdemir is just too tired to compete with him. Both winging exhausted punches. Good left hook from Oezdemir. OSP with a counter left. His shots definitely have more left in them. Nice body shot, one minute to go. OSP continues to dig to the body, eats a counter. Oezdemir comes back from another body shot with a knee. OSP pursuing with punches and Oezdemir is hurt. Round 1: Early clinch. Hamilton looking aggressive early, trading punches. Fortune sporting a big cut above his right eye. They trade in the clinch as Hamilton takes him to the fence. One minute in. They separate. Right hand from Hamilton. Ref pauses the action to look at the cut, which replays confirm was from a headbutt. Doc says to go ahead. Two minutes in. Hamilton throwing quite a bit in the early going. 1-2 from Fortuna. Nice counter right rattles Hamilton. HUGE counter right obliterates Hamilton, who disintegrates into a puddle of uncoordinated limbs. Damn.

Round 1: Hill sending out kicks early on. Andrade counters a straight right with a flurry. One minute in. Lefts from hill. Andrade stings her with a right hand. Andrade blitzing and both women land big punches Nice knee by Hill, Andrade digs a right to the body in return. Hill lands a counter right as Andrade chases. Two minutes in. Big hook from Andrade and they continue to trade. Hill briefly tries the Thai plum. 1-2 by Hill. Andrade pouring it on on the fence as Hill snipes back with counters. Looping right lands but she can’t get the takedown. Two minutes to go.

Hard right hands to the head by Andrade. Hill comes back with knees point-blank. One minute to go. Andrade to the body, shrugs off a knee to the head. Andrade lands John Lineker’s favorite low-high combo and goes to work inside. Hill with another knee before the bell. 10-9 Andrade.

Round 2: Andrade with some inside low kicks. Hill to the outside. Another blitz from Andrade. Both doing solid damage inside, although a knee opens a cut under Andrade’s right eye. One minute in. Left hook from Andrade. Andrade to the body. Both land big right hands on the fence. Hill returns to the center. Body kicks from Hill. Heavy punches inside by Andrade. Hill slips a blitz. Andrade bangs to the body. Two minutes to go.

Sharp right by Hill. Teep by Andrade, who flurries in response to a knee. Andrade looks for a single-leg and runs the pipe. Andrade looking for a no-hook rear naked choke with a minute to work. BIG high crotch takedown from the Brazilian after Hill slips out. Round ends with Andrade standing over her. 10-9 Andrade.

Round 3: Left hook from Andrade and they slug it out. Andrade seems to get the better of it. Andrade goes low-high, shrugging off counters. BIG left hook jacks Hill’s jaw. Hill comes back with a head kick attempt. Another left hook by Andrade. Hill’s landing off her back foot, she just can’t back Andrade off. Right hand dings Hill and Andrade tees off. A stiff jab knocks Andrade down, though Hill doesn’t pursue. More huge shots from Andrade, including a sneaky elbow. Two minutes to go.

Right hands piling up for the Brazilian. Knees, punches from Andrade. Nice little elbow by Hill. Andrade continues to fire with a minute to go. Hard knee to the head. They throw until the bell. 10-9 Andrade.

265 lbs.: Curtis Blaydes vs. Adam Milstead

Round 1: Blaydes hits a takedown within seconds, then takes Milstead on the Suplex Express with two big slams. Blaydes landing punches from the back as MIlstead tries to advance from turtle. One minute in. Another takedown from Blaydes, more solid shots from under the armpits. Two minutes in. Knees to the butt. Milstead makes it up and appears to hurt his leg on the next takedown from Blaydes, who lands a few uncalled shots to the back of the head. Two minutes to go.

Another takedown from Blaydes. Milstead surrenders guard. Milstead tries to make space and Blaydes lets him stand. Milstead’s right leg is hurt in some fashion. Stiff jab from Blaydes. Blaydes ducks a 1-2 and hits another takedown. 10-8 Blaydes for shear one-sidedness.

Round 2: Blaydes shoots once again and muscles Milstead to a knee. More knees to the butt. He puts all his weight on Milstead’s injured leg and he goes down screaming as it buckles. Disgraceful cornering.

145 lbs.: Chris Gruetzemacher vs. Chas Skelly

Round 1: Gruetzemacher advancing early. Two right hands land for Skelly, then a hard knee in the clinch. Skelly shoots and hauls Gruetzemacher to the fence. One minute in. Short elbow from Skelly. Short shots from Gruetzemacher as well before they separate. Low kick from Gruetzemacher, right hand from Skelly and a 2-1 from “Gritz.” Blast double by Skelly. Two minutes in. Gruetzemacher with some elbows off his back against the fence. Skelly looking for the back. Two minutes to go.

Good control from Skelly. He threatens the choke, keeps surfing. One minute to go. Half guard now for Skelly, landing some hammerfists. Gruetzemacher regains guard. Skelly stands over him, then sprawls on a takedown attempt and lands a knee before the bell. 10-9 Skelly.

Round 2: Gruetzemacher once more on the advance. Staying busy with strikes. Sharp uppercut snaps Gruetzemacher’s head back. Straight right lands, then to the body. Good body kick from Gruetzemacher. Skelly with another blast and he immediately takes the back. Gruetzemacher with some elbows. Skelly weathers them and locks up the choke with one hook in. The squeeze is too much and Gruetzemacher is forced to tap.

135 lbs.: Ricardo Ramos vs. Michinori Tanaka

Round 1: Both men light on their feet early on. Front kick from Ramos just misses. Low kick from Tanaka. Ramos wheel kick falls short. One minute in. Low kick lands for him. Ramos ties up and Tanaka hits a throw. Ramos pops right back up and they jockey for position. Tanaka changes levels, nothing there. Knees from Ramos. Two minutes in. Solid knees to the body by Ramos. Tanaka eats a knee, separates with a right hand. Ramos low kick. Tanaka slips and nearly gets his head punted off. Two minutes to go.

BIG counter right flattens Tanaka. Ramos pounding away. Tanaka powers his way to his feet, eats more strikes and falls once again. One minute to go. Tanaka scrambles up. 10-8 Ramos.

Round 2: Ramos still marching forward. One minute in. They tie up and Tanaka looks for trips. He’s still driving, eats an elbow and changes levels. Ramos counters an inside trip and takes guard, passing to side control and then mount. Two minutes in. Tanaka rolls through and Ramos switches to an armbar. Tanaka waits it out and sets up in guard. Ramos trying to use the cage to stand. Tanaka takes half guard and nearly takes mount. Two minutes to go.

Good control for Tanaka as Ramos tries to stand. He makes it up and Tanaka looks for the back. Nice scramble, one minute to go. Right hand from Ramos, low kick from Tanaka. 10-9 Tanaka.

Round 3: Tanaka a little more sprightly in the early going. Low kick lands. He changes levels, Ramos denies it. One minute in. Right hand from Tanaka, knee from Ramos. Left hook from the Brazilian. Tanaka to the body. Two minutes in. Quick flurry from Tanaka. Jab exchange. Herb Dean warns Tanaka to engage. Tanaka, to the best of my knowledge, doesn’t speak English. Two minutes to go.

Round 2: Rawlings comes out more aggressively. Torres lands some kicks and scores a brief takedown, only for Rawlings to scramble up and take her down. One minute in. Rawlings looking for the back as Torres stands. Torres turns to face her. Two minutes in. Torres pressing her against the fence, trading knees and dirty boxing. Rawlings lands knees, Torres lands punches. Torres takes the back in a scramble. Two minutes to go.

Torres with one hook in. Now both with 70 seconds to go. They handfight. Torres transitions to an arm triangle, can’t get it and retakes the back. She goes for an armbar at the bell. 10-9 Torres.

Round 3: Teep from Rawlings, punches from Torres. Good combinations from Torres. Rawlings with a counter hook, chases her with a right hand. One minute in. Camera cuts away as Rawlings flips off the crowd. Torres still winning these exchanges. God low kick stumbles Rawlings. Lead right by Torres. Two minutes in. More low kicks, then both land inside. Torres still chewing up that leg. Combinations, Rawlings whiffs on a Superman punch. Two minutes to go.

Rawlings to the body. She ties up on the fence with over-unders. Torres reverses position. Rawlings slips while throwing a knee and Torres looks for the back. She spins Rawlings to the ground and inserts her hooks. Rawlings works her way into guard and avoids an armbar. They stand and end the fight throwing. 10-9 Torres.

170 lbs.: Alex Morono vs. Niko Price

Round 1: Low kick from Price, Morono wings a pair of counters that fall short. Inside this time. Lead right lands for Morono. One minute in. Counter right draws a smile from Price, who fires a low kick and a high one behind it. Two minutes in. Morono lands a counter hook. 1-2 through the guard. Price head kick blocked and Morono drops him with a counter left. Morono in pursuit. Price regains his composure. Two minutes to go.

Round 2: Price looking a little more aggressive to start the round. Counter flurry from Price. Glancing 1-2 from Morono. One minute in. Not a lot of clean contact this second minute. Leg kick lands for Morono, Price answers to the body. Right hand lands for Price and he marches forward before eating a jab. Morono teep. Flurry from Morono draws Price’s attention.
