Derek Brunson headlined a list of eight fighters to receive extended medical suspensions in the aftermath of UFC Fight Night 35, according to information released by the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission.

Brunson, who suffered a brutal third-loss loss to Yoel Romero on the night’s main card, by far received the worst of the list, as the middleweight veteran will be forced to sit out indefinitely until receiving physician clearance for his broken jaw.

Aside from Brunson, seven other UFC Fight Night 35 fighters received moderate medical suspensions for injuries incurred during Wednesday night’s event, which took place at The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA.

Cole Miller will be required to sit out 45 days due to a broken hand, while Constantinos Philippou, Mike Easton, Sam Sicilia, Justin Edwards, Isaac Vallie-Flagg and Trevor Smith will all be required to sit out 30 days as a result of various injuries.

The remaining 16 fighters on the card all received precautionary seven-day suspensions, including victorious middleweight headliner Luke Rockhold.
