It took a little longer than hoped, but the UFC finally has a main event for its ESPN show in San Antonio, Texas on July 20th. Welterweight contenders Rafael dos Anjos and Leon Edwards will do battle in a five-round bout that represents the most important fight of Edwards’ career to date. There’s no official co-main event listed yet, although ESPN says it’s Greg Hardy vs. Juan Adams… no comment.
Other notable fights include a lightweight banger between James Vick and Dan Hooker, as well as BE’s own Roxanne Modafferi taking on Liz Carmouche in an important women’s flyweight encounter. If you’re itching to see Andrei Arlovski vs. Ben Rothwell 2, then that’s also happening.
