UFC Fight Night Dublin sells out immediately

And just like that tickets to UFC Fight Night Dublin are sold out.

According to a UFC official, tickets to the July 19 event were officially snatched up Friday morning. An allotment of tickets went on sale to UFC Fight Club members on Wednesday and newsletter subscribers on Thursday. Once the rest of the tickets were made available to the general public on Friday, they officially sold out in a matter of minutes.

UFC Fight Night 46, headlined by Dublin’s Conor McGregor vs. Diego Brandao, will take place at The O2 Arena, which holds approximately 8,000 fans for an MMA event.

“The UFC is delighted to have sold out its eagerly anticipated return to Dublin on July 19th,” a UFC official said. “All tickets were sold within the first couple of hours. There are a limited amount of VIP packages available here.”

This event will mark the first time the UFC holds an event in Dublin since UFC 93 in Jan. 2009. Since then, Irish MMA fans have been anxiously awaiting the promotion’s return, and once McGregor was signed last year and proved to be a draw, the wheels were set in motion.

In fact, McGregor promised in his very first interview on The MMA Hour that he would be responsible for the UFC’s return to Ireland, and he was right. He’s also responsible for Friday’s quick sellout.
