Alejandro Perez claimed his third victory inside the Octagon this past weekend, finishing Ian Entwistle as part of UFC Fight Night 86.

Immediately after the contest was stopped by referee Grant Waterman, Entwistle started complaining that Perez was greased up and that is what allowed him to escape several deep leg-lock attempts.

Perez responded to the allegations in an interview with MMAjunkie after the bout.

“I worked hard to prepare a defense for the leg locks,” he said. “When he attacked my legs, I stayed on top, punching, punching, punching. I don’t know what to think because I’m not a cheater.

“I play fair. I don’t know what to think.”

Perez (17-6) has won three of four bouts with the UFC and stated that he would like to return “in July or August” before adding “I will wait for the call. Whatever the UFC says.”
