UFC fighter rankings: Darren Till cracks top 10 with win over Donald Cerrone

Darren Till is suddenly a force to be reckoned with at welterweight.

UFC Gdansk didn’t offer much in the name of relevance, but a big main event surprise allowed a new fighter to make his mark in the welterweight division. Darren Till, who was given a big opportunity with a headlining bout against Donald Cerrone, smoked Cowboy in the first round and took how a huge W. He’s now ranked inside the top ten at 170.

Other than that, the only major shakeup was caused by a former flyweight title challenger leaving the promotion.

Here’s a look at all the changes.

P4P – Stipe Miocic drops from a tie for three with Max Holloway to holding the four spot on his own. Tony Ferguson moved up one spot to 12, dropping Michael Bisping to 13.

Heavyweight – No changes.

Light HeavyweightJan Blachowicz is back on the list after his win on the weekend. Gian Villante dropped one spot to 15.

Middleweight – No changes.

Welterweight – Till’s huge upset changed the whole bottom half of the division. Carlos Condit and Colby Covington moved up one spot each to six and seven. Till entered the list at eight. Cerrone dropped three spots to nine. Santiago Ponzinibbio, Neil Magny, Kamaru Usman, Gunnar Nelson, Dong Hyun Kim, and Alex Oliveira all dropped a spot each, to 10-15 respectively.

Lightweight – No changes.

Featherweight – No changes.

Bantamweight – No changes.

Flyweight – The removal of Ian McCall led to a few changes. John Moraga moved up into a tie for nine with Dustin Ortiz. Alexandre Pantoja, Louis Smolka, and Magomed Bibulatov all moved up one spot, from 12-14 respectively. Ulka Sasaki enters the list at 15.

Women’s Bantamweight – Ketlen Vieira passed Germaine de Randamie for the eight spot.

Women’s Strawweight – No changes.
