Rising Dagestani prospect Said Nurmagomedov continued his winning ways earlier tonight (Sat., Feb. 2, 2019) at UFC on ESPN+ 2 live on ESPN+ from inside Northeast Olympic Training Center in Fortaleza, Brazil, when he put a stop to streaking Brazilian bantamweight Ricardo Ramos via first-round TKO (spinning body kick and punches).
While Ramos came into this bout riding a three-fight win steak in UFC, it was Nurmagomedov who looked poised to capture victory on enemy soil. After some back-and-forth action on the feet, Said quickly launched a brutal spinning back kick that dug into the body of Ramos. The Brazilian covered up and Nurmagomedov quickly moved in to land a barrage of follow-up punches that forced the referee stoppage.

With this performance, Nurmagomedov locks down his second UFC victory in as many chances after knocking off flyweight veteran Justin Scoggins in his Octagon debut last year. The 26-year-old Russian fighter looked very dangerous at his new home of 135 pounds and could end up quickly climbing the rankings in 2019.
