Fans wondering how UFC heavyweight Shane Carwin (12-1) has been doing since his neck surgery in early November, the fighter posted a message on the Underground Forums recently letting them know he’s “feeling better every day.”
Carwin underwent surgery, also known as a Foraminotomy which is a medical procedure used to relieve pressure on nerves that are being compressed in the spine, on his C5, 6 & 7 vertebrae on Nov. 2nd.
The fighter required the surgery for an old nagging injury that was still bothering him after injuring his neck as an NFL prospect.
I am feeling a ton better. My rehab has begun and I feel better every day. I would say that the pain and issues I am having healing are less then the pre=surgery pain. I am confident in making a speedy recovery.
Pre surgery I was on so much Codine I could not keep any meals down and post surgery the Darvon made the Codine seem like candy. I have never been so trashed in my life. So the back surgery diet has be weighing just over 264.
Thanks for all your support and well wishes.
