Fights for the European promotion’s interim featherweight and flyweight titles have been cancelled as Friday’s card undergoes another reshuffle.

Following Cage Warriors having to move their upcoming event 200 miles across the country to keep the show alive, they have now been dealt another blow by losing two of their scheduled championship fights.

A highly anticipated interim featherweight title clash between French star, Morgan Charriere, and promotional newcomer, Darko Banovic, will no longer take place and Samir Faiddine’s first flyweight title defense against Englishman, Luke Shanks, has also been called off due to travel complications.

Furthermore, a UFC middleweight bout between SBG Ireland’s John Phillips and the undefeated, Dusko Todorovic, which was moved to Cage Warriors 113 after UFC London got cancelled, has also been pulled. The European promotion announced these changes in a press release sent out on Wednesday morning.

However, all other bouts are still scheduled to go ahead as the organisation continue their relentless push to ensure the fight card happens.

“We will continue to adapt to changes as they arise, and continue to strive toward providing the biggest and best platform possible for our fighters and fans this Friday night,” said Cage Warriors President, Graham Boylan, in the press release.

“As long as the country remains operational, so do we.”

A UFC middleweight bout between Cage Warriors veteran, Darren Stewart, and Polish competitor, Bartosz Fabinski, will now serve as the evening’s headliner while Mason Jones and Joe McColgan will fight it out for the promotion’s vacant lightweight belt in the co-main event.

Cage Warriors 113 takes place on Friday night at the BEC Arena in Manchester, England behind closed doors. The main card can be streamed on UFC Fight Pass from 9pm GMT for fans in the UK and Ireland. Viewers in the US can tune in from 5pmET/4pmCT.
