With just over two weeks to go before the Ultimate Fighting Championship visits China for the first time, the promotion has been forced to change the lineup after an injury to welterweight Marcelo ‘Magrao’ Guimaraes (8-0-1) forced the Brazilian off the UFC Macau card.

Stepping in for Guimaraes will be California fighter David ‘Daudi’ Mitchell (11-2), who now takes a fight with South Korean Hyun Gyu Lim (10-3-1).

UFC on Fuel TV: Franklin vs. Le is scheduled to take place on November 10, 2012 at the CotaiArena in Cotai Strip, Macau, China. The two fighters will open the preliminary card on Facebook.

Mitchell is still looking for his first Octagon win with losses in both of his UFC appearances. ‘Daudi’ hasn’t fought in the Octagon since August of 2011 following a decision loss to Paulo Thiago at UFC 134. This is certainly the last chance for Mitchell to keep his job with the UFC. He debuted in September 2010 at UFN 22, losing to TJ Waldburger via unanimous decision.

This will be Lim’s debut bout and carries a five fight win streak into his first Octagon appearance. He was last in action in July, winning the Pacfic Xtreme Combat welterweight title. The South Korean owns seven (T)KO finishes, two submission wins and one by decision.
