Following UFC Manila’s cancellation, the promotion has started to re-book bouts for upcoming events.
When UFC Manila was cancelled after B.J. Penn sustained an injury, the promotion stated that they would compensate all their athletes and re-schedule the bouts for upcoming events. While headliner Ricardo Lamas has gone on record to say he still doesn’t know how much he will receive, the UFC has started to move bouts to future cards.
The first to be officially re-booked is the bout between new signee Jenel lausa and Yao Zhikui. The flyweight contest will now be part of the UFC Melbourne undercard, which happen this November, and headlined by Luke Rockhold vs Jacare Souza 2.
