Clay Guida and Jim Miller faced each other in a Lightweight clash tonight (Sat., Aug. 3, 2019) inside Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., only on ESPN.
Miller landed first with a good inside low kick. Miller followed up with a left high kick, but Guida blocked the strike and cracked Miller with a right hand! The New Jersey-native was hurt, but he responded with a heavy counter punch as Guida stepped forward to pursue his wounded foe. Guida was hurt worse, and Miller jumped on a quick guillotine choke as Guida attempted to recover with a takedown attempt.
Moments later, Guida was asleep.
This one did not last long, but it was a great showing from Miller. Despite having been in the sport for so long, Miller remains exceptionally dangerous in the early moments of his fights.
Result: Jim Miller defeats Clay Guida via second-round submission
