Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White announced the “Fight Night” bonuses for tonight’s (Jan. 28, 2012) UFC on FOX: Evans vs. Davis event, awarding $65,000 in bonus money to the winners.

“Fight of the Night” went to prelim headliners Evan Dunham and Nik Lentz, while “Knockout of the Night” would go to promotion newcomer Lavar ‘Big’ Johnson, and finally “Submission of the Night” would go to Charles Oliveira for his first round finish.

UFC on FOX: Evans vs. Davis went down at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois with the three bout main card airing live on FOX, one prelim bout would stream live on Facebook, and the remaining six prelim matches were televised on FUEL TV.

Dunham and Lentz fought for two rounds of exciting standup action. It would be Dunham who would land the definitive strikes, causing a giant welt to open up under Lentz left eye forcing the doctor to step in at the end of the second for a TKO stoppage.

Johnson, who moves over from the Strikeforce promotion, would debut against Joey Beltran, a fighter who had up to this point never been finished by knockout. Johnson would become the first fighter to do so, by finishing the ‘Mexicutioner’ with some solid uppercuts at 4:24 of the first round.

Oliveira would earn his featherweight debut by stopping opponent Eric Wisely with a calf slicer submission at 1:43 of the first round. The win was the Brazilian’s first victory in four bouts.
