He was linked to a UFC 155 bout versus Chris Leben in December bout was forced off the card and replaced by Derek Brunson. ‘The Terminator’ earned his last win in his middleweight debut back in May 2012, forcing Mike Massenzio to tap out in the second round at the UFC on FOX 3 event due to a rear-naked choke.
Magalhaes debuted with the UFC last June as part of the UFC on FX 3 show versus fellow newcomer Buddy Robberts. It wasn’t the debut the Brazilian wanted following a decision loss ending Magalhaes’ undefeated streak at five bouts. He was to have fought this past January at UFC on FX 7 but an injury forced Magalhaes off the card with a groin injury.
