Rivera, who just hours before his fight against Eric Schafer told
MMAjunkie.com Radio he was walking away from
the sport, win or lose, battled through a difficult opening frame to
earn a second-round TKO finish at Friday night’s UFC on FOX 1.
The bout served as the featured preliminary matchup of the event, which took place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.
