The official weigh-ins for Friday’s UFC on FX: Browne vs. Bigfoot went down today at the Pantages Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The public event went down this afternoon with heavyweights Travis Browne (246) and Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva (266) headlining the television event.
One major change to the card has seen a lightweight bout between Dennis Hallman and Thiago Tavares pulled from the event after Hallman failed to receive clearance for the match. He was reportedly over weight.
The promotion will now bump up a lightweight match featuring Marcus LeVesseur vs. Carlo Prater to the Fuel TV prelim card.
The UFC posted this message on Twitter (@ufc) following Hallman’s failed weigh-in attempt.
– Hallman is 7 pounds over weight – fight vs Tavares is off – 2nd time in a row Hallman hasn’t made weight, 2nd fight he’s tried to make LW
UFC on FX 5 is scheduled to take place on Oct. 5 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, with the main card airing on FX television, portion of the preliminary card will be shown on FUEL TV, with the remaining prelim match streaming live on Facebook.com/UFC.
