Donald Cerrone will look to collect his first three-fight win streak since 2016 when he takes on Al Iaquinta in the main event of UFC Fight Night 151, which is set to go down inside Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, this Saturday (May 4, 2019).

Before then, let’s take a look at one of “Cowboy’s” most dominant wins in recent memory.

Back in February of 2018, Cerrone found himself staring down Yancy Medeiros, a man who he knows and respects. Still, that didn’t stop both men from swinging from the jump, as the two talented strikers got after it in what proved to be an all-out standup affair.

At least for the one round that it lasted.

Cerrone, the wise veteran that he is, used his distance and reach well, mixing in a few attempted takedowns with his all-around striking expertise. While the fight was close throughout the first four minutes, Donald managed to land a nice three-punch combo on the Hawaiian-born fighter with only 10 seconds to go. From there, “Cowboy” pounced on his wounded foe and dished some vicious ground-and-pound to force the stoppage.

Since then, Donald has gone 3-1 with his lone loss coming at the hands of Leon Edwards. Not only will a win over “Ragin’ Al” give him his first three-fight wins streak in close to three years, but should shoot him up the rankings and closer to another crack at UFC gold.
