In the main event of UFC Raleigh, Curtis Blaydes defeated Junior Dos Santos by second round TKO.

Curtis Blaydes extended his UFC winning streak to three by stopping Junior Dos Santos in the second round in the main event of UFC Raleigh.

What was the high point of the fight?

Dos Santos looked to avoid the takedown from the opening bell keeping his hands very low to try and stuff any takedown attempts from Blaydes. ‘JDS’ did well avoiding the takedown early, but Blaydes still did well on the feet catching the Brazilian with some good punches.

At the start of the second round, Blaydes caught Dos Santos with a big one two. Unloading with some knees and a swarm of right knees as ‘JDS’ backed up against the fence, referee Dan Miragliotta stepped to stop the fight and give Blaydes the win.

Where do they go from here?

Blaydes is now on a three-fight winning streak has rebounded phenomenally after his quick loss to Francis Ngannou in their rematch. In his post-fight interview, Blaydes called for a title shot against current champion Stipe Miocic.

Dos Santos finds himself in a tough spot after losing to Ngannou back in June of last year also by stoppage. Without a win since March 2019, ‘JDS’ isn’t in a spot to pick and chose what’s next for him and will hope to rebound to his recent losses in his next fight.

Watch it now, later or never?

Watch it now. It was a brutal onslaught from ‘Razor’ Blaydes that led to the finish.
