The UFC’s last trip to Brazil in 2015 is scheduled for November.
With June 27’s UFC Fight Night 70 moved from Sao Paulo to Hollywood, the promotion has set a date for its return to Sao Paulo. According to sources close to the situation, the UFC will hold a Fight Night card on Nov. 7 in the state of Sao Paulo.
The exact location isn’t set yet, but the Fox Sports 1 card will be in either Sao Paulo or Barueri.
The UFC has held four events in Sao Paulo during the Zuffa era, Fight Night cards headlined by Vitor Belfort vs. Michael Bisping, Demian Maia vs. Jake Shields, Lyoto Machida vs. C.B. Dollaway, and Stipe Miocic vs. Fabio Maldonado.
Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia will headline the upcoming UFC card in Brazil, the UFC 190 pay-per-view event at Rio de Janeiro’s HSBC Arena on Aug. 1. The UFC is also expected to return to Brazil in September, according to UFC general manager Giovani Decker, but the exact date and the location are not set yet.
