Felicia Spencer made her presence felt in her Octagon debut earlier tonight (Sat., May 18, 2019) at UFC on ESPN+ 10 live on ESPN+ from inside Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York, when she choked out fellow former Invicta FC women’s featherweight champion Megan Anderson in the very first round.
Spencer had to eat a strong right hand by Anderson early but the undefeated Canadian quickly settled in as she pressed the action against the cage. It was a great gameplan for “FeeNom” considering Anderson’s size and punching power. Spencer leveraged her grappling skills to eventually get Anderson to the canvas, flatten her out, and lock in an impressive rear-naked choke finish.

With this performance, Spencer makes good on her UFC debut and knocks off one of the very best female featherweights in the world today. If the 29-year-old is able to do this one more time she may quickly end up on the radar of current UFC women’s bantamweight and women’s featherweight champion Amanda Nunes.
