UFC Rotterdam preview: Return of ‘The Killer’

Before he transitioned to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and was forced to rebrand himself as “The Great,” former Shooto middleweight champion Siyar Bahadurzada was known simply as “The Killer.”

With 18 finishes in 22 wins, it’s easy to see why.

While dropping down to welterweight was expected to leave Bahadurzada in the top 10 of his division, injuries and personal setbacks gave him pause, and now the 33-year-old striker has just one appearance since late 2013.

That’s going to change this weekend on UFC Fight Pass.

Bahadurzada (22-6-1) will collide with undefeated Aussie and UFC rookie Rob Wilkinson (11-0), who like his opponent, is a prolific finisher. Of his 11 wins, “Razor” has only been to the scorecards once.

Expect a great fight when the cage door closes at UFC Fight Night 115, held inside Ahoy Rotterdam this Saturday (Sept. 2, 2017) on the promotion’s subscription-only digital network.
